This quick recipe for cinnamon peanut butter popcorn is spin on a classic popcorn that is great for chilly fall evenings when you are craving something salty and sweet. The blend of peanut butter, honey for sweetness and a punch of cinnamon makes this the perfect snack!
Cinnamon Peanut Butter Popcorn
- 1/3 cup smooth peanut butter
- 1 tbs honey
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 packet microwave popcorn (natural)
Combine the peanut butter, cinnamon and hey in a microwave safe bowl.
Heat in the microwave on high for about 90 seconds, stopping to stir every 30 seconds or so.
Once you have the peanut butter mixture completely combined and warm enough to pour, add the popcorn to the microwave. Follow the instructions on the bag. (About 2 1/2 minutes)
You way want to reheat the peanut butter one last time before you pour it over the popcorn. It cools down fast!
In a large popcorn bowl, combine the peanut butter and popcorn, taking care not to break the popcorn too much. It should clump together a bit as the peanut butter cools.
Enjoy with napkins!
